Hey Everyone,

Welcome back to another week and another blog post. 🙂

This week I wanted to share something a little different from my usual posts, though it still falls under the Category “lifestyle”. I wanted to share with you some of the books I’ve read  that have shaped and changed my mindset.

If you’ve read my about my page then you know I’m a bookworm. Furthermore, if you follow my Instagram stories, you’ll see that I occasionally recommend great reads.

I have read several books, but there are a few that have actually changed my way of thinking drastically. Literally, if you can change your mindset it you can shift the way you view life tremendously and for me, it all started with reading.

So there are three categories of books I want to share with you which are: Confidence Building, Personal development and Spiritual growth.

This week I want to focus on the confidence-building books I’ve read. I think we can all agree that having confidence is a massive part of life. Without it, there wouldn’t be many leaders or trendsetters. These are my favourite three books focusing on this specific area.

  1.  Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers – I first found out about this book from Youtuber Patricia Bright. She had made a video and recommend this book as a great read. The premise of the book is pretty much as the title states. Susan uses several examples and teachings to explain that whatever we fear, we are actually more than capable of dealing with it no matter how big or small are fear is. My main take away from this book was the graph she placed into the booked that shows you each time you take a step away from fear you unlock a new level of your life and ultimately begin to look back and think what I so afraid of to begin with was. This is an excellent read for anyone who just wants to simply understand the concept of fear and how they can overcome it.
  2. Who moved my Cheese by Spencer Johnson – This book was actually recommended to me by a friend. It’s a perfect quick read can literally finish reading it in about an hour. At first, I was a little confused about the use of mice as main characters, but it all made sense as I continued to read on. Ultimately the message of the book is that when your cheese is moved you shouldn’t stay and think it will come back because more than likely It won’t. Sometimes in life, you have to be able to adaptably quickly and learn that things won’t always be the same forever, so it’s important not to get too comfortable. Comfort leads to complacency and where you’re complacent you can’t grow. If you’re looking for a fast read. This is your book.
  3. Don’t Settle for Safe by Sarah Jakes – This book is my complete favourite of the three. Sarah really opens up about her life and how she ultimately used her fears to help her grow. Through a series of personal stories and prayers as a reader, we are not only able to be closer to Sarah though her story but also examine our own lives and look at the places where we may be settling for safe. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has a dream or vision for their life but maybe too afraid to execute it. Reading this book will challenge you to not only do more but also do better.

I hope my brief summary of these book has Enlightened you.

Till next week,

Lots of love

Sasha
